Revelation 1:11 (NKJV)

saying, “I am the Alpha and the

Omega, the First and the Last,” and,

“What you see, write in a book and

send it to the seven churches which

are in Asia: to Ephesus, to Smyrna,

to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis,

 to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.

The Seven Churches were located on

a major Roman postal route and are

listed in the order in which a messenger

would reach the towns, making a

semicircular sweep from Ephesus.

The Law of Connection... Jesus Put Compassion Before Correction

Jesus lets each church know He understands their situation

He affirms their positive qualities

He touches their hearts

then He voices concern over an area that needs attention

Finally, He beseeches them to listen.  He consistently show compassion before He corrects.

Living God's way means making His priorities our priorities, even when they are different from ours. The Bible tells us how to order our lives according to God's will. Understanding and obeying Scripture brings joy to our lives and teaches us to acknowledge God's hand in our success.

Identify with God's people through intercession. UNDERSTAND that you can stand in the gap on behalf of people, confessing sin and praying for mercy and restoration.

Taken From New Spirit Filled Life Bible NKJV

2 Chronicles 7:14

if My people who are called by My name will humble

themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn

from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven,

and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

A Revival Prayer for All the Ages

This verse reveals, in principle, a revival prayer applicable to God's people in any age. The context follows  Solomon's dedicatory prayer for the temple - one that focuses the responsibility of any people to seek God for mercy after sin had brough its desolation, plague, and judgements. This verse summarizes God's chosen way of restoration, which is through the prayers of His people, a guide for prayers for revival in all places.

  1. Humble ourselves (rather than God doing it for us)
  2. Pray for a fuller revelation of God's glory to His people (seek His face)
  3. Turn from everything that contradicts the spirit and direction  of our prayers (true repentance)

The promised results: God will hear this prayer, will cleanse from sin, and bring healing where it is needed - for the church, for the nation, and for the people.
